Earl (Mickey) Tennyson, son of the late Paul and Anna C. (Fuller) Tennyson was born Oct. 26, 1891 at Providence, O., near Grand Rapids. His father was in the transport business on the Old Canal. His mother died leaving the children, and the father put them out for adoption or under others' care. The family became widely scattered. On the most part Mickey, as he was better known, made his abode in and near Liberty Center.
Some-months back Mickey became enfeebled and was taken to the Henry County Home where his condition became worse and death came at about 6 o’clock on Monday morning, Nov. 11, 1957.
He is survived by brothers, Walter Tennyson in California and Jesse Felter of Oak Harbor, O.; one sister, Lavina Altmiller of Norwalk, O. A first cousin, Mrs. Lola Spiess of Liberty Center also survives along with many friends with whom he worked, fished and hunted. These cheerish the memory of one who shared with them the joys of the hunting and fishing experiences.
Mickey showed concern toward older people and those in need. A number of folks put trust and confidence in him.
He was a member of the Home Department roll of the Liberty Center Methodist Church. He enjoyed this contact with the church and the devotional literature proved a blessing to him.
FuneraI services were conducted from the Liberty Center Methodist Church with the pastor, David L. Eichar, officiating. The Fiser Morticians were in charge and burial was in Young’s Cemetery.
