Obituary:
Samuel Tanier was born in Glouster City, New Jersey, December 19, 1861. He moved with his parents on a farm near Liberty Center, Ohio, at the age of sixteen, and there resided until about eight years ago when he and his mother moved to Liberty Center , and there resided until the time of his death.
He was a patient sufferer for the past two years with that terrible disease, cancer.
Deceased was the eldest son of John and Susan Tanier. He was a loving son and brother, and also a kind friend and neighbor. He leaves to mourn their loss a mother, two brothers and three sisters, and many friends, his father having preceded him in death.
Mr. Tanier was a faithful member of the I. O. O. F. and also of Wabash Encampment No. 202. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Liberty Center, Saturday, January 27, 1917, Rev. Reynolds officiating. Interment in the mausoleum in Young’s' cemetery.
