Obituary:
Mrs. Ethel F. Tabler, 89, died early Monday morning at the Henry County Home, where she had been a patient lor several months.
She was born April 11, 1891, in Detroit, to John and Amelia (Woodward) Dunivan. She was united in marriage with Thomas (Sumner) Tabler, who in 1970 preceded her in death.
Thomas and Ethel Tabler managed the Henry County Home for 22 years as superintendent and matron, respectively. Mrs. Tabler was formerly a teacher in the Detroit City Schools. She was a member of the Napoleon Soroptimist Club and a charter member of the Liberty Center American Legion chapter.
Survivors include six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Thomas and John, a daughter, Joanna Leifer, brother, Jay, and a sister, Helen McClymont, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 2:30 p.m., at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, by the Reverend Paul Weber, St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will be made in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. or 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests any memorials be made to the new Henry County Hospital.
