Mariah Kuhns was born August 13, 1857, in Saulsburg, Lehigh county, Penn., and died at her home in Liberty Center, Ohio, December 2, 1926, aged 69 years, 3 months and 19 days.

She was married to Henry Stout July 15, 1878. To this union were born four children, all of whom preceded the mother in death. Husband and two sisters survive.

Funeral services were held at St. John’s Reformed church, Liberty Center, [text smudged], Rev. E. J. Williams of the M. E. church officiating. Interment was made in Young’s cemetery.

Mrs. Stout had been ill for several months. She was a pioneer of Liberty Center and highly respected and beloved by all who knew her. She and her husband led a congenial, peaceful and happy life and her passing left him alone in the home. He has the sympathy of the community.

I wish to thank the neighbors and friends for the held and assistance give me during the sickness and at the death and funeral of my beloved wife, friends for flowers, Rev. Williams for his helpful words, and the singers.
