Services for Tillie C. Starkey, 77, Liberty Center, who died early Friday morning at Floro’s Nursing Home, McClure, were held Monday, 2 p.m., at Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, Liberty Center, where she was a member. The Reverend Daniel Bare officiated, and burial was in Youngs Cemetery.
Mrs. Starkey was born January 15, 1903, in Henry County, to Jacob and Sarah (Mohler) Saul. She was a member of World War II Mothers.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; two sons, Kenneth, Napoleon, and Jack, Petersburg, Michigan; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Bruns, Napoleon; four sisters, Mrs. Edrie Smith, Sandusky, Mrs. Howard (Frances) Strayer, Neapolis, Mrs. Harold (Edith) Studer, State ol Florida, and Mrs. Harold (Helen) Hollinger, Delta; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Merle Whitmer, Ethel Whitmier, LaVerne Vomer and Bertha Spiess, and two brothers, Vane and Harold.
The family suggests any memorials be made to the church or to the Henry County Heart Association.
