A Liberty Center woman, visiting friends in Orlando, Florida, suffered a heart attack and died suddenly Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Homer Spiess, 54, was on a picnic with her husband and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sharpe of Orlando when she was stricken.
She was well known in this area and was a member of the Rebekah lodge, the Pythian Sisters and Mothers of World War II.
She is survived by her husband, Homer; father, Earl Braucher; three sons, Burdette, Royce and Earl; two daughters, Mrs. Ervin Myers and Mrs. Clarence Sagers; a brother, Lester Braucher and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Pilgrim Church with Rev. Wayne Goldsmith officiating.
Interment will be in Young’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Homer Spiess home, 2 1/2 miles north of Liberty Center after 7 p.m. Thursday.
