Eva Maud Spiess, 99, of Liberty Center died Friday at Country View Haven Nursing Home, Napoleon.
Born Sept. 17, 1904, in Delta, she was the daughter of Burton and Jennie (Gaudern) Richards. On Dec. 24, 1928, she married Dewey Spiess, who preceded her in death March 12, 1984.
A homemaker, she was a member of Shiloh Christian Union Church, Delta.
He is survived by two sons, Gareld (Colleen) of Liberty Center and Arlo (Karen) of El Macero, Calif.; five daughters, Josephine Beck of The Villages, Fla., Lila (Marvin) Trask of Nampa, Idaho, and Treva (Richard) Stevens, Ula Ann (Harold) Kessler and Arvis (Maurice) Weaks, all of Liberty Center; a sister, Minnie Smith of the state of Florida; 47 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Marvin; two brothers, Ray and Loren Richards; and a sister, Edna Kimerer.
Services will be 1 :30 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Christian Union Church, Pastor Chuck Whitmire and Rev. Roger Weaks oficiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Shiloh Christian Union Church Building Fund or Gideons International.
