Stanley C. Slagle, 76, 1318 Prouty Ave., Toledo, died Saturday in Mercy Hospital.

Before retiring in 1960, Mr. Slagle was a freight handler for the old Pennsylvania Railroad for 20 years. Surviving are his wife Loretta; daughter, Mrs. Dwane Whittenburger; son, Donald; stepdaughter, Mrs. Evelyn Gilmore; stepsons, Carl and Bernard Scott; sister, Mrs. Rozy Thornton, and a brother, Leo Slagle. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Walker Mortuary, Toledo, with burial in Young Cemetery. Liberty Center.
