Winona Sigler, 75, Liberty Center, died Friday morning at her residence.
Born in Liberty Center on Jan. 5, 1913, she was the daughter of Carl D. and Agnes E. (Boulis) Mourer. On Sept. 2, 1957, she married Lester C. Sigler, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1977.
A member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Napoleon, Sigler had worked as a cashier and clerk at the Thrift Shop of Brown’s Bakery, Defiance, for 14 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Napoleon’s Chapter 232 Order of Eastern Star and V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Jolly Twelve Flinch Card Club.
Surviving are a stepson, Steven of Mount Vernon, Ohio; two sisters, Doris Ritter of Napoleon and Donna Beougher of Laurelville, Ohio; and two step-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a sister, Charlene H. Maurer.
Services were held this morning in the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Rev. Jack Huntley officiating. Interment was in Young’s Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. John’s Episcopal Church, the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
