At six o’clock last Monday morning the spirit of Mother Showman departed this life and entered the one to come.
She has been lying seriously ill nearly all winter at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J, B. Augenstein, on Welsted street, being near death’s door on a number of occasions, but it was not until Monday that a tired body that had battled with the world for nearly a century gave up its unequal fight.
