Lula L. Shock, 89, of Defiance died Sunday morning at her residence.
Born Jan. 29, 1913, in Henry County, she was the daughter of Charles and Blanch (Fuller) Davis. In 1929, she married Vernard ‘Chick’ Shock, who preceded her in death in 1985.
A housewife, she was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah King of Defiance; a sister, Lola Spiess of Liberty Center; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by son, Roger; a brother, Carl Davis; two sisters, Pearl Massey and Mildred Butts.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home Defiance, Rev. Mike Barnett and Rev. Terry Spiess. Interment will follow at Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
