Royal P. Sharp, 74, Liberty Center, died Sunday evening at Fulton County Health Center after being taken there by the Delta Rescue Squad.
A former Toledo resident, he was born on November 6, 1905, to Daniel and Florence (Chamberlain) Sharpe.
The deceased was a mechanic for 30 years at Toledo Traction Company, now TARTA, and retired in 1971.
He also was a World War II veteran.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Nancy) Funkhouser, Liberty Center; one son, Billy L., Liberty Center; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard A., Toledo; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Fern) Penny, Southgate, Michigan, and Mrs. Karl (Gladys) Degner, Palmetto, Florida.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, with the Reverend Daniel Bare officiating. Burial will follow in Young’s Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and all day Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
