Phyllis E. Sharpe Jan. 15, 1929-Nov. 17, 2010
Phyllis Eileen Sharpe, 81, Liberty Center went home to be with her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Country View Haven, Napoleon.
She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Liberty Center to the late John and Florence (Jennings) Gramling. On June 22, 1947, she married Billy Lee Sharpe, who survives.
Phyllis is also survived by her children, Susan (Tenny) Krugh, John (Dawn) Sharpe, Bill (Sharon) Sharpe and Shelley (Kurt) Davis, all of Liberty Center; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry (Rowena) Gramling and a sister-in-law, Nancy Funkhouser of Liberty Center; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Gramling of Napoleon.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Gramling, and sisters, Ruth Bristol and Nina Travis.
Phyllis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her home was always open to family and friends. She was a graduate of Liberty Center High School. She was a member of Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church. Phyllis was a former school teacher, choir member and member of the women’s society. She loved to sew, bake and sing, especially praises to her loving God and Father.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 21, at the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 302 Maple St.,.Liberty Center, Ohio 43532. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be immediately following at the Young Cemetery.
