Dorsey Sharpe, 30, son of Mrs. W. J. Danby, and former Liberty Center resident, died Sunday morning as the result of injuries sustained while on a fishing trip with friends near Watervllle, Ohio.
Dorsey, who will always be remembered by his many friends as “Daddy”, suffered a broken neck when he accidentally stumbled and fell while running from the river bank to his car, parked on the river road a few miles out of Waterville. He was dead upon arrival at the office of a Waterville physician.
For more than six years Dorsey has been an employee of the Toledo branch of the International Harvester Company, and at the time of his death was serving in the capacity of head mechanic.
Besides his mother, Dorsey is survived by his wife, their son, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Danby Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Chiles officiating. Interment was at Young’s cemetery.

Dorsey O. Sharpe, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sharpe was born in Liberty Center, Ohio, October 1, 1902, and departed this life April 23, 1933, aged 30 years 6 months and 22 days.
The greater part of his life was spent in Liberty Center with his parents.
In 1922, September 27, he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Carver, of Fulton county, Ohio, and to this union were born two children. The first one dying in infancy. For the past six years he has been employed by the International Harvester Company, of Toledo, Ohio, and in his profession he proved himself an expert, as his many friends will testify. His company soon found that they could rely upon him at all times.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, son Bobbie his mother and his three brothers Guy, Reuben, and Dewey, and sisters, Fuschia and Helen, besides many other very dear friends. The father and one child having preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. C. D. Chiles in charge.
