Services Were Held For Warren Sharp, Former County School Board Member
Warren C.. Sharpe, 66, Washington Township farmer, died Sunday night at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. He was a veteran of World War I. He served as clerk of the Washington Township Board of Education from June 1926 to 1929.
He was a member of the Liberty Center Board of Education from 1939 until 1956, after the school districts were consolidated and retired from the county board in January 1962. He was a school teacher from 1915 to 1921 and later served as a substitute teacher.
He was also a member of the Henry County Sportsmen’s Club.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; mother, Mrs. Charles Sharp, of Monclova; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Slee and Mrs. Don Myers of Liberty Center; one son, Ervin, of Delta; four stepchildren, Mrs. [smudged] Jehanyar of South Whitley, lnd.; Thomas, Paula and Mary Kimberly of the home; one brother, Homer, and one sister, Mrs. George Daum of Liberty Center, and 10 grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Wesche Funeral Home in Napoleon, with interment in Young’s Cemetery in Liberty Center.
