Fannie M. West, daughter of John T. and Patience West, was born at Liberty Center, O., April 21, 1860, and died at Toledo January 31, 1914, aged 53 years, 9 months and ten days. She was united in marriage with Homer Shaffer October 30, 1887, and to them were born five children, all dying in infancy.

Fannie M. West, daughter of John T. and Patience West, was born at Liberty Center, O., April 21, 1860. She was united in marriage with Homer Shaffer October 30, 1887, and to them were born five children, all dying in infancy. Her husband preceded her to the beyond July 19, 1911.
The deceased united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in Wauseon Ohio, in her early married life and lived true to this belief until her death, which occurred at Toledo, Ohio, January 31, 1914, at the age of 53 years, 9 months and ten days. She leaves a father, two sisters and two brothers and many friends to mourn her departure.
Before her death she requested that the fourth verse of the 21st chapter of Revelations be read at her funeral service, and Rev. J. C. Crider, who officiated, having learned of her request, chose the text of the funeral discourse. The service was held at the Liberty Center Methodist Episcopal church at 10 a.m. Monday, February 2nd, and interment was made in Young’s Cemetery.
