Herman L. ‘Hum’ Schultz April 8, 1915 - Sept. 9, 2001
Herman Schultz, 86, of Delta died Sunday at Swanton Health Care and Retirement Center.
Born April 8, 1915, in Neapolis, he was the son of Herbert and Georgia (Phillips) Schultz. He married Madalin Spiess, who preceded him in death in 1985. He also married Hilda Johansen who survives.
He was a farmer and a carpenter, and he also worked as the Fulton County milk tester for 12 years and Myers Crop Center until his retirement.
He is also survived by a daughter, Nola Schultz of Dayton; a son, Duane "Bud" Schultz of Liberty Center; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Pittman; and four brothers, Milton, Harley, Charles and Kenneth.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center, Pastor Karen Crawford officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society of Fulton County or Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties.
