Lois L. Saul, 81, of Napoleon passed away Sunday morning, July 19, 2009, at the Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
Lois was born Feb. 17,1928, in Henry County, to the late Phillip and Bonnie (Glick) Ordway. She married Duane H. Saul on April 20, 1947, in Napoleon, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 13,2007.
A daughter, Bonnie Beth Saul; and sister, Phyllis Spieth-Funchion, also preceded her in death.
A1946 graduate of Napo|eon High School, Lois was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary for her husband at Saul Insurance Agency. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter #68, Deshler, and attended the First Presbyterian Church, Grand Rapids. Lois was a dedicated mother and grandmother and enjoyed baking, especially pies, cakes and cookies. She will also be fondly remembered for her quiet sense of humor.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons and their wives, Mark and Beth Saul, Napoleon, and Chris and Bari Saul, Loveland; and her nine beloved grandchildren, Greg, Mike, Jon, Jake, Nick, Grant, Clark, Eric and Dana Saul.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the First Presbyterian Church, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Pamela Gordon presiding. Burial will follow at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Wright-Hobbs Funeral Home, Liberty Center.
