Garnette Saul, 79, of Liberty Center died Monday at her home.
Born in Freedom Township in Henry County March 21, 1914, she was the daughter of William and Charlotte (Sworden) Frysinger. On June 3, 1945, she married Bryan V. Saul, who preceded her in death on Feb. 7 of this year.
A graduate of Bowling Green State University, she first taught at Veigel School, a one-room schoolhouse in Freedom Twp., then at Florida, Liberty Center and McClure, retiring in 1972 after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church and its women's group, where she was a past president. She was also a former Sunday School teacher and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jo Peairs of Cincinnati; a son, John of Seattle; and three grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Ethel Dunbar and Hazel Rogge; and a brother, Glen Frysinger.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home in Liberty Center from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
