Duane H. Saul, 78, of Napoleon and formerly of Liberty Center died Thursday at The Toledo Hospital.
Born Dec. 7, 1928, he was the son of Harold J. and Beatrice (Snyder) Saul. On April 20, 1947, he married Lois L. Ordway, who survives.
He worked in insurance and real estate, owning and operating the Saul Insurance Agency from 1961-1994, when he retired. He had previously been employed at Campbell Soup Supply Co. A 50-year member of Liberty Center Lodge #518 F&AM, where he was past master and served as chaplain for many years, he was also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and Zenobia Shrine, both of Toledo, Deshler Chapter #68 Order of the Eastern Star, Providence Grange #2572 and was a charter member of the Napoleon Hi-12 Club. He attended First Presbyterian Church, Grand Rapids.
He is also survived by two sons, Mark (Beth) of Napoleon and Chris (Bari) of Loveland; a brother, Eldon (Arlene) of Liberty Center; two sisters, Lavora (Everett) Johnson and Louise (Gene) Cordes, both of Napoleon; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Beth Saul; and a brother, James.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Pastor Pamela Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at Youngs Cemetery in Liberty Center.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, with a Masonic memorial service at 7:30.
