Bessie P. Saul, 93, Liberty Center, died Wednesday afternoon in the Northcrest Nursing Home, Napoleon.

Born in Liberty Center on March 11, 1896, she was the daughter of Arthur Z. Sr. and Verdilla (Ehrgood) Bryan. On Feb. 21, 1917, she married Zane B. Saul, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1971.

A 1914 graduate of Liberty Center High School, Saul was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women’s Association. She also served as a pianist for its Sunday School and church services. She was also a member of the Liberty Center Matrons Club and Napoleon O.E.S.

Surviving are a son, Bryan Z. of Liberty Center; a daughter, Hilda Spiess of Liberty Center; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Rev. William Goff officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the church organ fund.
