Raymond J. Sandman, 74, formerly of Liberty Center, died Wednesday in Bradenton, Florida.
He was born May 5, 1908, in Okolona. He married Emma Kolbe, and she survives in Bradenton.
Sandman served 13 years in the U.S. Navy and was a carpenter, electrician and Liberty Center water superintendent. The Sandmans moved to Florida in 1976.
Also surviving are a son, Ray Henry Sandman, Deluth, Minnesota; a daughter, Irene Emma Long, Shelbyville, Michigan; two step-sons, Robert Bartels, Liberty Center, and Walter Bartels, Bradenton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There are no funeral services, and burial will be in Young’s Cemetery, Liberty Center.
