VERN E. SAGER

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Fiser Funeral Home in Liberty Center for Vern E. Sager, 80, of Liberty Center, who died Saturday at Heller Memorial Hospital after a year and a half of illness.

He was born July 16, 1889, in Hamler, the non of David and Henrietta (Nausbaum) Sager. He spent his early years farming, then moved to Liberty Center where he had lived for the past 36 years. He was a retired Fremont Kraut employee.

Two sons preceded him in death, Morris and Paul.

Surviving are his wife, Ethel, five sons, Lloyd, Defiance; Dale, Holland; Garold, Wauseon; Clarence and Burl, Liberty Center; two daughters, Mrs. Henrietta Hillabrand, Stony Ridge; Mrs. Jane Gruber, Liberty Center.

Other survivors include 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Younker, Miami, Florida; Mrs. Pearl Laxenby, Findlay; and one brother, Emit, Adrian, Michigan.
