Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wesche Funeral Home in Napoleon for Maurice E. Sager, 46, who died on Thursday, Aug. 26 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. The Rev. Arthur C.. Senn, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Liberty Center, officiated. Interment was made in Young Cemetery.
Mr. Sager, a carpenter, was a victim of leukemia. His home was at 794 Cherry St, Liberty Center. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; three daughters, Darla, Karen and Jacquelyn, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Sager, of Liberty Center; six brothers, Lloyd, of Defiance; Dale, of Holland, O.; Paul, Grand Rapids; and Clarence, Burl and Gerald, all of Liberty Center; two sisters, Mrs. Roger Hillabrand of Bowling Green, and Mrs. Clifford Gruber of Liberty Center.

Maurice Edward Sager, son of Vernon and Ethel (Pacey) Sager, was born July 1, 1912 near Hamler, O.
When at an early age the family moved east of Belmore, O. in Putham County where he attended Grand Forest elementary school.
In 1933 the family moved to Liberty Center where the deceased had resided since.
On June 15, 1940 he was united in holy wedlock with Dolores Wulff. To this union were born three daughters.
During his lifetime he followed several occupations. He was in the carpenter trade when illness struck early in May of this year.
On Aug. 21, 1958 he was called to rest at the age of 46 years, 1 month and 20 days.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, Dolores; daughters, Darla, Karen, and Jacquilyn, at, home; his parents, and six brothers, Lloyd, Defiance; Dale, Holland; Paul, Grand Rapids; Clarence, Burl, and Garold, of Liberty Center; also two sisters, Mrs. Roger Hillabrand, Bowling Green, and Mrs. Clifford Gruber, Liberty Center, and a host of other relatives and friends.
