Clarence Vernon Sager April 16, 1927 - April 16, 2003
Clarence Vernon Sager, 76, of Liberty Center died Wednesday at Henry County Hospital, Napoleon.
Born April 16, 1927, in Belmore, Ohio, he was the son of Vernon and Ethel (Pacey) Sager. On July 13, 1947, he married Earlene Rose Spiess, who survives.
He was a drop forge operator for S.K. Wayne, Defiance, for 36 years, retiring in 1989. He was a retired member of Liberty Center Fire Department. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He is also survived by three brothers, Dale of Holland, Ohio, Burl of Liberty Center and Garold "Buck" of Wauseon.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Henrietta Hillabrand and Jane Barlow; and three brothers, Morris, Lloyd and Paul.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Pastor Dan Schiewer officiating. Interment will follow at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to Liberty Center Fire Department or Hospice of Henry County.
