James E. Russell, age 56, of Delta, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, November 23, 2007, at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. He was born March 11, 1951, in Napoleon to the late Eugene Russell and Eileen (Rayle) Russell who survives. On January 27, 1973, James married Pennie (Hogrefe) Russell and she survives. He was a general foreman at Bunting Bearings Corp in Holland and part time at the Delta Kwik Stop.
James is survived by his children, Joseph Russell of Delta, Jered Russell of Maumee, Jill Russell of Delta and Jenna Russell of Delta; brothers, George (Diane) Russell of Defiance and Gary (Sharon) Russell of Delta and grandchildren, Anthony and Jayda Russell, whom he truly adored spending time with.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2007, at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pastor Tom Bates will be officiating. Interment will be private for the family at a later date. James E. Russell, 56, of Delta died Friday at the Fulton County Health Center in Wameon.
Born March 11, 1951, in Napoleon, he was the son of Eileen (Rayle) Russell and the late Eugene Russell. On Jan. 27, 1973, he married Pennie Hogrefe, and she also survives.
A general foreman at Bunting Bearings Corp. in Holland, he worked part-time at the Delta Kwik Stop.
He is also survived by two sons, Joseph of Delta and Jered of Maumee; two daughters, Jill Russell and Jenna Russell, both of Delta; two brothers, George (Diane) of Defiance and Gary (Sharon) of Delta; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barnes Funeral Chapel, Delta, Pastor Tom Bates officiating. Interment will be private for the family at a later date.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family toward the future college tuitions of his grandchildren.
