Chloe Smith Russell, third daughter of Henry C. and Minnie E. Smith, was born Oct. 13, 1886, and passed from this life June 6, 1954, at 2:30 p.m.
She was baptized with three other young people in Apiil 1904 and joined the SDA church in Liberty Center, and was a faithful member. She was a very active worker in the Dorcas welfare work of the church and found great joy in attending Sabbath school and church.
She was married to Wilbur D. Russell Dec. 7, 1910, and to this union were born three children: Warren Leonard, of Van Wert, O., and Melvin Dean and Lucille, of Washington, D.C. Her father, mother, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, two sons, one daughter, two daughters-in-law, five granddaughters and two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Vinme Hasemeier, of this place; one brother, Claud, of Delta, O.; many nieces and nephews and cousins and many friends in the church.
Burial was in Young’s cemetery Tuesday afternoon, with services being conducted by the Walter’s Funeral Home.
