Mrs. Anna Rogge, nee Grout, was born in Germany, May 27, 1856, and died in Liberty Center, Ohio, November 14, 1931, aged 76 years, 5 months and 17 days.
She came to this country with her parents when two years of age and was raised near Sylvania, Ohio. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, being confirmed in the year of 1871. On December 16, 1878 she was married to William Rogge, who preceded her in death October 5, 1919. She came as a bride to Henry county and she and her husband moved on their farm near Liberty Center where they resided 39 years. To this union were born three daughters, Mrs. Chas. Bortel and Mrs. Wm. Mueller of Liberty Center, and Mrs. Chas. Kruse of Toledo.
In the spring of 1918 she and her husband moved to Liberty Center, where she has resided since. She was a patient sufferer during her illness which was of several months duration.
She leaves to mourn her death, three daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren' and many other relatives and friends.
