Edna Rigal, 91, of Liberty Center died Saturday evening at Fulton Manor of Wauseon.
Born June 26, 1910, in Washington Township, she was the daughter of Peter and Phoebe (Koch) Johnston. She married R. D. Rigal, who preceded her in death.
She was a librarian at Liberty Center Public Library from 1951-1984. She was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and PERI. She was also the author of two books.
She is survived by a son, Daniel of Waterville; three daughters, Colleen Spiess of Liberty Center, Rosanne Rigal of Davidson, N.C., and Joanne Boys of Plymouth, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Mowery and Lura Travis; and a brother, Peter Johnston.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. Jim Roynon officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center.
Visitation will be after 7 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center.
The family suggests memorials be made to Liberty Center Public Library.
