Jean S. Richardson, 84, formerly of Liberty Center died Sunday at The Lutheran Home at Napoleon.
Born March 12, 1923, in Liberty Center, she was the daughter of Frank and Lola (Blair) Smith. On Jan. 5, 1942, she married Major Alfred Richardson Sr., who preceded her in death Jan. 11, 2004.
A homemaker, she had been employed as a secretary for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Seattle.
She is survived by two daughters, Cecile (Dan) Chambers of Swanton and Sue (Milton) Koehn of Rush, Colo.; a son, Robert (Susie) Jr. of Seattle; 14 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her step father, Carl Bergstrom; two brothers, Lawrence Matthews and Bobby Smith; and a grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Rev. Lee Genter officiating. Interment will follow at Youngs Cemetery in Liberty Center.
Visitation will be 9 am. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
