Opal Puckett, 84, of Liberty Center died early this morning at her home.
Born in Sherwood, Ohio, April 5, 1907, she was the daughter of John and Catherine (Rohrbaugh) Heilman. On June 10, 1951, she married Charles Puckett, and he preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1976.
She had been an inspector with Markey Bronze Bushing in Liberty Center 21 years, retiring in 1968. She was a member of the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women and the Liberty Center American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Bill Sharpe of Liberty Center; a daughter, Nancy Funkhouser of Liberty Center; two sisters, Stella Brubaker of Detroit and Helen Bard of Liberty Center; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers, Frank and Harve Heilman.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, Rev. Paul Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice of Henry County.
