Jonathan N. Price, an old and respected resident of this Township, who has been in ill health for the past two years, during the greater portion of that time being confined to the house, passed quietly away at his home in near this place Sunday, August 8th, aged 72 years, four months and 17 days.
Funeral services were held at the Reformed church in this place Tuesday, Rev. Adam Dove, of Van Buren, officiating, in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. Interment in Young’s Cemetery.

Jonathan Price was born in Rockingham County, Virginia, March 21, 1837, came with his parents, Samuel and Susanna Price, to Ohio in 1854. He united in the service of of the U.S. Army Sept. 6th, 1864, and served in the war of the Rebellion until its close. He was an honored member of the GAR Post of Liberty Center at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Day, October 16, 1866, and to this union were born three sons, L. J., George and John, and three daughters, Mrs. W. W. Mohler, Mrs. Samuel Murdock and Lydia Price.
He united with the Primitive Baptist church April 29, 1888, and lived a christian life until the end. His body afflictions were long and severe, but his confiding trust in Jesus, his unshaken faith in God and his cheering hope of Heaven strengthened him, and patiently he bore all, and peacefully fell asleep in the triumph of living faith August 8, 1909, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 17 days.
May his sorrowing wife and children find comfort in God, whose promises never fail and whose mercies endure forever.
Funeral services were held at Liberty Center in the Reformed Church, August 10th, conducted by Adam F. Deve, of Van Buren Ohio.
