Dorothy A. Pennell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Taylor, was born near Swanton, Fulton county, July 25, 1889, and departed this life at her home in Fulton county, March 24, 1932, aged 42 years, 7 months and 29 days.
She was united in marriage to John E. Pennell of Henry county August 10, 1908, and to this union were born 8 children. Five preceded her in death, Gladys, 3; Marion, 6 months; Mary, 18 days, and two in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Killian of Monclova, Ohio; Annabelle, at home, and one son, John Junior, at home; parents, four sisters, Mrs. Cora Scott of Farwell, Mich., Mrs. Maude Young of Fulton county, Ohio, Mrs. Alvina Schneider of Toledo, Mrs. Rose Shumann of Maumee, and 3 brothers, George and Willard of Liberty Center, and Fred, of Maumee, Ohio. One sister preceded her in death.
Her life was one full of love and sympathy. Her presence will be missed, her good council, her words of love and encouragement. At an early age she joined the Radical U. B. church and frequently her attention was drawn to the Word of God and a believer in God.
Jesus plainly tells us, ‘And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; even the spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth Him; but ye know Him, for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.’
The funeral was held Sunday, March 27, 1932, at 2 P. M., in the Reformed church [cut off].
