Lillian May Palmerton, 100, died at Northcrest Nursing Home early today (Thursday). She had made her home with Mary Silveus, Liberty Center, prior to moving to Northcrest.
Born May 8, 1872 in Williams County, she was the daughter of Robert and Martha (Edwards) Showman. The deceased, a former member of the Liberty Center O.E.S., was congratulated by President Nixon on her 100th birthday.
Surviving are three nephews, Dr. Glendale Price, Hayward, California, Dr. Larry Price, Lombard, Illinois, and Dr. Robert Price, Gaithersburg, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p m. Saturday at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Reverend Robert Breese officiating. Interment will be in Young Cemetery, Liberty Center. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
