Zora Overmier, 77, of Liberty Center died early Thursday morning at her home.
Born in Hot Springs, Ark., Nov. 3, 1914, she was the daughter of John and Mae (Richards) Murry. On Sept. 1, 1934, she married Frank S. Overmier, and he preceded her in death April 27, 1985.
She was a former cafeteria worker with the Liberty Center Schools and a former employee of the Fremont Kraut Co. and the Liberty Center Elevator. She was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, where she had formerly served as WSCS president, a Sunday School teacher and a MYF advisor. She had also been a leader with 4-H, Cub Scouts and Brownie Scouts and was a member of the Liberty Center Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Stewart and Stacy, both of Liberty Center; a daughter, Kay (Beilharz) Feffer of Liberty Center; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Maude Holderman and Ruby Stewart; and four brothers, Ralph, Paul, Ira and Donald Murry.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center, Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the church, the Liberty Center Volunteer Fire Deptartment or a charity of the donor's choice.
