Alva Orl, 75, RFD 1, Liberty Center, Henry County commissioner, died last Wednesday in the Colonial Nursing Home, Toledo.
Born in Defiance County, he had lived in Henry County since 1919. Mr. Ort was serving his first term as a county commissioner, the term to expire in 1963. A farmer, he was a trustee ot Liberty Township for 22 years and a former president of Liberty Center Elevator Assn.
Mr. Ort was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Odd Fellows Lodge and Knights of Pythias Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Amelia; sons, Virgil, Bowling Green; Eldon, Doylestown, Pa., and Morris, Dayton; daughters, Mrs. Ruth Shock, Wauseon; Mrs. LaVanche Glanz, Cleveland, and Mrs. Marjorie Sharpe, Toledo; sisters, Mrs. Mabel Partee, Defiance; brother, Clarence, Little Rock, Kan., and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at Walker Mortuary with burial in Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
