Mertie M. Orme, 88, Napoleon, died Saturday at 10:15 p.m. in Heller Memorial Hospital, Napoleon.
She was born May 20, 1885 in Liberty Center, the daughter of Charles and Jewel (Rogers) Wright. She married Andrew L. Orme and he preceded her in death in 1938.
The deceased and her husband owned and operated the Orme Jewelry Store in Napoleon, at the present site of Reichert’s Jewelry Store for many years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Napoleon, and a past worthy matron of the OES.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Wilda) Glick, Napoleon; one sister, Mrs. Neva Bichan, Liberty Center; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Funeral services will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend William Fogg, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Napoleon, officiating. Interment will be in the Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
