Francis Edwin Mohler, born near Liberty Center on Sept. 27, 1874, was the son of Allen and Sarah Mohler. He lived most of his life in and near Liberty Center, and passed away at the home of his daughter near Delta on Sunday morning, May 20, 1951, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 23 days. He had been confined to his bed since Easter morning.
On Dec. 25, 1895, he was united in marriage with Martha R. Frederick. To this union were born two daughters and five sons. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Dec. 25, 1945.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, who died Dec. 5, 1950; daughter, Mrs. Gertie Sams, and two sons, Vernon and Orville. Mr. Mohler had a vcry friendly disposition was kind and considerate of others. He loved nature and all growing plants and trees. He was a conscientious worker and lived his life the same each day and was known as a man of trust. He was greatly attached to his home and family, was a loving father, and loved all children as well as his own.
He leaves to mourn his passing, three sons, Clarence, of Toledo; Howard and Homer of Delta, and one daughter, Pearl Haller, also of Delta; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Overmyer of Delta, and Laura Saul, of Liberty Center; thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the Walter funeral home in Liberty Center on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m., Rev. Mervin Cripe, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, Delta, officiating. He was laid to rest in Young’s cemetery, Liberty Center.

Francis E. Mohler, 76, of Liberty Center, passed away early Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Haller, Delta.
He leaves to mourn his passing, three sons: Clarence, of Toledo; Howard and Homer, of Delta; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Haller, Delta, and two sisters Mrs. Laura Saul, Liberty Center and Mrs. James Overmier, Delta.
Funeral services were held from the Walter funeral home Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Mervin Cripe conducting the rites. Burial was made in Young’s cemetery.
