RETIRED FARMER TAKES OWN LIFE
The body of Abraham L. Nye, 72, retired Liberty Center farmer, was found hanging in a garage at his home gwew Thursday morning by his wif,, Annabelle.
Dr. Thomas M. Quinn, Henry County coroner, gave a verdict of suicide. He said Mr. Nye had been despondent because of ill health.
Born in Jewell, he had lived here most of his life.
Also surviving arc sons, Byron, Toledo; Emerson, Delta, and David, Erie, Mich.; daughters, Mrs. Mary Cramer, Media, Pa.; Mrs. Thelma Behrmann, Ridgeville; Mrs. Rachael Bowers, Mrs. Winona Blair, Mrs. Treva Kahlo and Mrs. Twilla McLane, all of Toledo, and Mrs. Ellen Arman, Genoa; brothers, Joseph, Malinta; William, Toledo, and Claude, Allerton, Ia.; sister, Mrs. Emma Mockler, Phoenix, Ariz., 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Penrod Mortuary, Delta. Burial was in Young's Cemetery, Liberty Center.
