Benjamin D. Nutt, youngest son of John and Adeline Nutt, was born in Fulton County, Ohio, August 31, 1877, And departed this life June 13, 1914, aged 26 years, 9 months and 12 days.
He was united in holy wedlock with Miss Clara M. Babcock September 24, 1898.
His father, mother, three brothers, one sister, one half-sister and one half-brother preceded him to the spirit land. At four years of age he was left a motherless boy and had a home with a brother until he grew to manhood.
He united with the Church of God in 1903.
He, with his wife, became charter members of Mrs. Hoover’s Sunday school class about four years ago. He was a good Bible student an interesting class member.
The deceased was a kind husband and obliging neighbor, an upright citizen and sympathetic friend, always ready to help others in time of their need. He foresaw the approaching inevitable, and was anxious to recover health, but was at last resigned to the Master’s will. He read a great deal and counseled a great deal with ministers that he might know the truth and he was always pleased to have their fellowship and their prayers. While bodily infirmity for the past several years made life a painful conflict, yet his hope was in the Lord and his most frequent utterance was, ‘I have fought a good fight.’
He leaves a devoted wife, two brothers, namely, Wm. Nutt of Fulton County; and Emery Nutt of Morenci, Michigan, and many relatives and friends to mourn his early death.
