Clarence Earl, youngest child of Jacob and Kathryn Northcutt, was born July 10, 1905, at Bluffs, Ill., and departed this life Wednesday evening, Dec. 20, 1939, at his home in Liberty Center, after an illness of several years, having stayed but 34 years, 5 months and 10 days.
His early childhood was spent in Illinois, coming to Ohio in 1925 to make his home with his sister, Hallie.
On July 5, 1929, he was united in marriage with Doris Spiess.
He leaves his wife, Doris; one sister, Mrs. Leonard Wisdom, of Columbus, O.; two nieces, Mrs. Howard Minnich, who resided with the family a number of years; Kathryn Wisdom, of Columbus; one nephew, Philip Wisdom, of Columbus; two half-sisters, Mrs. Stella Flynn, of Bluffs, Ill., and Mrs. John Wyman, of Milford, Neb.; two half-brothers, Fred Northcutt and Harry Vennear, of Bluffs, Ill., and a host of relatives and friends.
He was a faithful member of the I. O. O. F. lodge No. 718 of Liberty, Center, O., attending as long as his health permitted.
