Susanna March Myers was born December 9, 1868, in Damascus Township, Henry County, Ohio. She departed this life on July 12, 1938, in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, aged 69 years, 7 months, 3 days, following a very short illness.
On January 1, 1890, she was united in marriage to Charles Sherman Myers. She leaves her husband and the following children to mourn her passing: Mrs. H. L. Allen, of Toledo, Mrs. Chancy Connolly and Mrs. F. B. Dershem, of Napoleon, Joe V., of Liberty Center, and Charles D., of Toledo. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mildred E. and Orilla A., the latter having passed away less than three weeks prior to her mother’s death.
Early in life she became a member of the Olive Branch church in Damascus Township. In 1900 she moved to Washington Township, at which time her church membership was transferred to the Methodist Episcopal church; in Liberty Center where she remained an active member until her death.
She was a kind and loving companion and devoted mother. Her unselfish devotion to her husband and children was her most outstanding characteristic and her memory will always be enshrined in their hearts. Her family are consoled and comforted by the knowledge that she has now been united with her loved ones who have gone before.
Services were conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church in Liberty Center by a former pastor, Rev. W. N. Shank. Interment was in Young’s cemetery.
