Ervin E. Myers, 75, of Liberty Center, died Sunday at Heartland of Wauseon Nursing Home. He was born in Belmore on Oct. 1, 1919, and was the son of John and Violet Ruth (Wolford) Myers. He married Betty Alice Speiss on Oct. 23, 1943, who preceded him in death on March 7, 1993.
He was a barber at Myer's Barber Shop, Liberty Center and the Wellington Hotel Barber Shop, Napoleon, for 30 years. He retired in 1981. He was also a World War II Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #6596 of Liberty Center and the Oddfellows Lodge of Liberty Center.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Brock, Toledo, and Trudie Sonnenberg, Liberty Center; two brothers, Paul Myers, Sun City, Calif., and Floyd Myers, Leipsic; three sisters, Eileen Dunn, Hesperia, Mich., Opal Jean Henderson, Fremont, Mich., and Bonnie Chesiter, Flint, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center with Pastor William Thompson officiating. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center. Interment will be at Young's Cemetery, Liberty Center following a military service conducted by Post #6596 V.F.W.
