Betty Myers, 68, of Liberty Center died Sunday at her home.
Born in Liberty Center May 21, 1924, she was the daughter of Homer G. and Myrtle (Braucher) Spiess. On Oct. 23, 1943, she married Ervin E. Myers, who survives. A 29-year employee of the Campbell Soup Co. in Napoleon, she retired in 1985. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Liberty Center and the Union Rebekah Lodge of Liberty Center, where she had previously served as a noble grand.
Also surviving are two daughters, Trudi Sonnenberg of Liberty Center and Barbara Brock of Toledo; a sister, Earlene Sager of Liberty Center; three brothers, Burdette ‘Red’, Royce ‘Spud’ and Earl ‘Tuff’ Spiess, all of Liberty Center; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, Rev. William Thompson officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home in Liberty Center after 2 p.m. Tuesday, where a Rebekah Lodge service will take place at 4 p.m.
