Bernice A. Myers, 89, died Thursday morning in the Lutheran Home at Napoleon, which she entered on April 1, 1986. She had formerly lived on Road T in Liberty Center.
She was born on June 18, 1898, in Liberty Township to Henry and Alpha (Kigar) Schall.
On June 2, 1920, she married Joe V. Myers, who died on April 9, 1976.
Before marriage, she was a teacher in the Bell School. In the early 1950s, she was the executive secretary of the Red Cross in Henry County.
She was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church and die Pythian Sisters Lodge of Swanton.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean Hasselschwert of Wauseon and Joan Reimund of Malinta; two sons, Don of Liberty Center and Dr. Robert of Ft. Myers, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. today in the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Isaac Johnston officiating.
Interment will be in Young Cemetery in Liberty Center.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Liberty Center United Methodist Church or to the Heart Association.
