Mildred Ercell Murphy, 83, of Liberty Center died Wednesday at Fulton Manor Nursing Home, Wauseon.
Born Feb. 26, 1922, in Colton, she was the daughter of Emmett Gail and Fanny Opal (Grainer) Frankforther. On April 20, 1941, she married Harold Eugene Murphy, who preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1985.
A homemaker, she was also employed at Wauseon Wire Factory. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center.
She is survived by two sons, James (Joni) of Springfield Township, Ohio, and Robert of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a sister, Donna Lee (Francis) Winterhalter of Petersburg, Mich.; a brother, Larry (Dorothy) Frankforther of Liberty Center; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Linda Meadows, Judith Rohrbaugh and Kathleen Murphy; two sisters, Evedene O'Brien and an infant; and six brothers, Lowell, Marion, Bernard, Earl, Darrell (Mick) and Vernon Frankforther.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Rev. Jeffrey A. Stone of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Fulton County Hospice.
