Clare F. Mowery, 79, Liberty Center, died Friday evening at Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon.
Born July 17, 1902, near Malinta, he was the son of Walter and Etta (Meyers) Mowery. He married Florence Johnston on August 15, 1928, and she survives.
Also surviving are a sister. Mrs. Fay (Nina) Jones, McClure, and a brother, Robert, Delphos.
Mr. Mowery was employed at the Toledo Edison Company, then worked for 25 years in government part sales at the former Kaiser Jeep Corporation of Toledo. He retired in 1967.
He was a member of Barton-Smith Lodge #613, F&AM; Toledo chapter #161, Royal Arch Masons; and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Toledo and was a lifetime member of the Zenobia Temple. He was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church.
Services will be held Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., at Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center. The Reverend Thomas Hanover will officiate, and interment will be in Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the mortuary, where a Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m. tonight. The family suggests any memorials be made to the church or a charity of the donor's choice.
