The hearts of many people of this place were made sad Monday evening by news of the death of Mrs. Charles I. Miller, formerly Miss Mettia Thompson, at their home in Stryker, Ohio.
At 10 o’clock Monday morning a fine baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Miller, but the young mother was never to know of the happiness that comes with the clasp of baby’s fingers, a happiness she had so eagerly looked forward to, for at 4 o’clock in the afternoon death called her and and the gentle and beautiful spirit broke the manacles of clay and returned to the God who gave it.
Mrs. Miller was born and raised in Liberty Center. She was a graduate of the Liberty Center High School and was dearly loved and held in great esteem by all who knew her. She was married to Mr. Miller about five years ago and for about a year they resided in this village, going from here to West Unity, and from there to Stryker, where Mr. Miller was engaged in blacksmithing.
Mr. Miller is an estimable young man and the hearts of his many friends go out to him in sympathy.
Funeral services will be held at the Reformed church, Liberty Center, Ohio, this (Thursday) forenoon at 10:30, sermon by Rev. G. A. Whitlock, assisted by Rev. D. E. Martz. Interment in Young’s Cemetery.
