Mrs. Marie Miller, 48, of Liberty Township, died Sunday at Toledo Hospital. She became ill on April 7 while on her way to work as a practical nurse at Detwiler Hospital in Wauseon. Soon after reaching the hospital she lapsed into a coma and never regained consciousness.
She was hospitalized in Wauseon until last Thursday when she was transferred to Toledo.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. E. A. Laabs, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment was made in Young Cemetery in Liberty Center.
She is survived by her husband, Forrest; one son, Capt. Ronald Miller of the Air Force, stationed in Viet Nam; one daughter, Suzanne, at home; her mother, Mrs. Dorothea Dehnbostel, of near Wauseon; and three brothers, John Dehnbostel, of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; Albert and Paul Dehnbostel, both of near Wauseon.
Active in church affairs, Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, its Missionary Society, Ladies’ Literary Society and Valparaiso University Guild. She was also a member of the Northwestern Ohio Practical Nurses Association.
A native of this area, Mrs. Miller, was born in Liberty Township on Jan. 19, 1918, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dehnbostel.
She was united in marriage to Forrest Miller Nov. 22, 1936, and they had since made their home on a farm in Liberty Township.
Since January 1958 she had been employed as a Iicensed practical nurse at Detwiler Hospital in Wauseon.
