Alice Ann Miller, daughter of David and Jemima Clifton, was born March 8, 1863, in Caroline, Seneca county, O.
The family moved to Liberty Center in 1865. Previous to settling in Seneca county the parents had crossed the Atlantic Ocean from their native England.
She was united in marriage with Cyrus D. Miller in 1884 and to this union was born one son, Emmett, who survives. She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. One grandson and two great-grandchildren also survive.
For many years she was an active member of the Liberty Center Methodist church. She also was a charter member, Past Worthy Matron and a fifty-year member of Pacific Chapter No. 63 of the Order, of the Eastern Star.
She passed away in Toledo, O., where she had resided for the past several years.
At the time of her death she was 90 years, four months and nine days of age.
Mrs. Miller had lived 20 years beyond the three score years and ten and a portion of these years she enjoyed considerable health and contentment, but health failed and along with other infirmities her dependence was upon others.
Services were conducted from the Walter funeral home Monday afternoon, with the Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial was in Young’s cemetery with the Pacific Chapter No 63, Order of the Eastern Star conducting graveside services.
